Family attribution: Sitter believed to be Danish Captain Count Cartwright van Walterstaff (1790-1823) of a Danish Cavalry Regiment, son of Major General van Walterstaff (1755-1820) holding a map of the defences of Copenhagen 1804.
Provenance: Purchased at Sotheby’s London in 1989 by the owner of a Norfolk Hall.
Condition: Generally good in consideration of its age, small renovations and top right hand corner.
