Pye was well regarded for his seascapes, marine and coastal landscapes. He exhibited three works at the Royal Academy and thirteen pieces for the Society of British Artists which included “A Quiet evening, Dorset Coast” and A Study in Weymouth Harbour” from an address in Weymouth, Dorset.
