*Group Captain A.R Wright DFC AFC was originally posted to 92 Squadron RAF Tangmere where he initially flew Blenheim night fighters, then his unit transferred in 1940 to Spitfires, where he was successful in downing various enemy aircraft including the fabled Messerschmitt BF109. He was shot down by one over Brighton but survived and held various important RAF positions.
*Flight Lieutenant Ray Holmes was also a World War II pilot, who flew the Hawker Hurricane. He was known as the pilot who saved Buckingham Palace, as he rammed his fighter aircraft into a Dornier bomber on its mission to dropping its deadly payload.
*Signed also by the artist of the original painting Michael Turner, the artwork was a Battle of Britain Anniversary piece and comes with its certificate of authenticity.
